Why V Formation?

It all begins with an idea.

My old business name did not really capture what I was doing day to day. So, it was time for a change, but I knew I needed any outside firm leading the process.

The easy choice was Logan Brazeau who owns Hatch Creative. www.hatchcreative.ca

I had previously worked with Logan when I was the board chair of the Peterborough Regional Farmers Network as we rolled out our new social enterprise, the Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market. 

Logan’s work captured the farmers’ market’s social enterprise values of honesty, authenticity, and support for local farmers. As a nice side bonus, Logan submitted the logo to a worldwide logo contest and was awarded fifth place that year. 

Logan’s process led to V Formation. The name represents my vision of mentoring leaders in the not-for-profit sector.

What does that look like for you?

If you want to increase your fundraising success, then we can work on a year-long contract to take your team through an entire fundraising cycle. During that time, we will work closely with your board and key staff to reboot the structures to support your future fundraising. You can’t be successful without a clear mission in your strategic plan. You need best practice policies and clear duties for staff and board. You need to have the most up-to-date human resources policies.  

These structures can be focused on a specific capital campaign or on improving your yearly fundraising.

During these long flights, our team works to help your team achieve more than they had in the past. These contracts lead to growth of at least 40% on the yearly baseline fundraising totals, often much more.

Our team also does short flights on specific fundraising projects like direct mail or cases for support. No fundraising work is out of our scope. Other short flights are intended for groups needing help with specific plans like a new strategic plan, a board reboot with new policies or human resources support.

In partnership with digital ad agency Adskope, we have become leaders in emerging digital fundraising as well.
